Too often so called “Men of God” are trying to take some form of Authority (“Headship”) within today’s church. They proclaim themselves Apostles, Bishops, Popes, and etc… This is rooted deeply within every church, from Catholics to Charismatics, and from Armenians to the Calvinist. These so called leaders are doing whatever it takes for their authority not to be thwarted or overstepped by any others within the church. They declare themselves as “Hand Picked” from Christ, so any attempt to go against them is a direct attack against God.

Over Reach

This strength of power can easily hinder or even break the basic principles of checks and balances that should be within the church.

Because of this, they are able to get their fingers into the pockets of the congregation gaining prosperity. Giving birth to a very damning message… The Prosperity Gospel. But if they are not in it for the profit then they strive for control and power. They fail to serve others only to serve themselves.

This cancer has caused the church to fall quite far from Christ’s original design, but men of God in those days would never have the type of authority that these men now have over others. There would of been a mutual respect of the elders, or men of God. There would even be chastising from one Apostle to the next (Galatians – Paul rebukes Peter). In fact, the idea of Head Pastor isn’t even in the Bible. Sure there are Elders, Pastors/Shepherds, Overseers, and etc… I would never doubt that there is a form of leadership, but never one man to role them all. That alone is given to Christ.

Matthew 20:25 But Jesus called them to Himself and said, “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and those who are great exercise authority over them. 26 Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant.27 And whoever desires to be first among you, let him be your slave—28 just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”

Paul writes:

1 Corinthians 9:19 For though I am free from all men, I have made myself a servant to all, that I might win the more;

The position of the elders in the church is to be the greatest example of Christ. To lead not in a way of power, but a constant sacrifice to the Lord. Paul made an everyday attempt to be the example of Christ when bringing many to the Gospel.

Show me the Money!!

That’s why you have this blasphemous Prosperity Gospel being preached in today’s churches. Because men have chosen not to serve others, but only to serve themselves they have looked only for gain. Why is it then, that in today’s churches, when Christians make money they are not evil?? Why are these scriptures never pertaining to the people who use their congregation as a means to become wealthy??

Mark 10:23 Then Jesus looked around and said to His disciples, “How hard it is for those who have riches to enter the kingdom of God!” 24 And the disciples were astonished at His words. But Jesus answered again and said to them, “Children, how hard it is for those who trust in riches to enter the kingdom of God! 25 It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.”

1 Timothy 6:9 But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition. 10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

Unfortunately, to many attempt to use the pulpit for greed. They control the Office for gain of prosperity and convincing others they will prosper too if they only give. They tell their sheep they are hand picked and destined for this position. They write books and sell big ideas to wiggle their way into the donors pockets.

While he (the pastor) stand there in the temple, saying how righteous it is for you to give, he will also be there watching you sacrifice everything to live. – FilthTruth

And that’s the devil at work… They convince the congregation that if you give your tithe and offering then “your cup will over flow”, if you give then “how much greater will your God give you, for he owns a cattle on a thousand hills”. They abuse the word of God to handicap the congregation to serve themselves, promising their people riches from the father when in fact only their pockets become fatter. They are the men and women God speaks against when it comes to prosperity. They have lost their faith for Gain of Power and Riches. Never did Christ speak a message of giving Him money so that in return God will Give you more money. Many of these scriptures about receiving more is about ministry, it’s about sacrificing and having faith in our Lord. Not material. Why would God give us material if He spoke so much against it?? Knowing it can lead, even a few, away from the faith?? He wouldn’t. He spoke about, being a light to those around us. Walking in a world of Darkness, not knowing, where or how, He will direct our feet.

So, when you give, always give because you are a cheerful giver. Never give because of some false/manipulated scriptural conviction. Some lies that spew out of the “Kings” mouth. While he (the pastor) stand there in the temple, saying how righteous it is for you to give, he will also be there watching you sacrifice everything to live. These men smile while you are pain. But, I know this… God will judge these men, in their final days..

End

Always give to see God move in others lives, having a heart of love and not of spite. Not expecting anything in return, but to only have a servant’s heart of mite.

2 Corinthians 9:6 But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.
