What is the Third Temple?? Honestly, it is a hotly debated topic. Many believe the Third Temple needs to be built for the antichrist to come into existence and reign, others say it has no importance at all. But what does that mean to the born again christian??
With the recent developments of the red heifer being born in Israel, this is either the best time to “finish” or “prepare” for the final stages of the messiah’s return. According to Breaking Israel News (see article below), the red heifer was born some time during September 2018. The account goes, that there have been nine red heifers born in total, starting with Moses and ending with the destruction of the Second Temple. This is all according to Jewish writing (Mishnah Parah 3:5)… Since then, there has not been a legitimate candidate (red heifer) for nearly 2000 years, until now. (1997 and 2002 / red heifers were born, but did not qualify as pure). But, it goes further, the one who will sacrifice the last and final heifer, in the eye’s of the Jewish people, will be their messiah! Supposedly….
According to BreakingIsraelNews, this comes from Rabbi Moshe ben Maimon (Maimonides), which has been quoted saying “the tenth red heifer will be accomplished by the king, the Messiah; may he be revealed speedily, Amen, May it be God’s will.”
So here’s the fun part…
Are we designing our own self fulfilled prophecy or is the Lord finally going to return?? If the Jewish writings are correct (about their messiah), and theologians are firm on what the Bible prophecy’s report about the end times… Sooner rather then later, a man will come forth (all dependent if this heifer is blemished free) and give it up for sacrifice. This man will be, or should be, declared as the messiah in the eyes of the Jews. (That’s if the Jewish theologians believe in what Rabbi Moshe said).
What does that mean to the Christians and Muslims?? The Christians should declare him as the antichrist and the Muslims should also see him as a false messiah. But, during this time, the Christians will be waiting for Jesus to come and take them home (rapture may or may not happen when they think), while He defeats the antichrist. As for the Muslims, they be waiting for Jesus to return to defeat this false messiah as well… They will (Muslims), on the other hand, will sit and watch as he (their jesus) defeats the antichrist. He (jesus) will then clarify to all the Christians that they were wrong this whole time about him being their Lord and Savoir, and that he was simply a prophet. — What a plot twist.
That should be interesting!! The Christians, Muslims, and Jews will all be at each others throats as this process, rebuilding and then Sacrificing the heifer, takes place. As each respective party waits for their Lord.
What if this actually went down?? Would it start a world war, or holy war?? If the Jewish people are looking for a savior and the Muslims/Christians are looking for theirs, how long will it take for a war to break out?? Neither accepting peace because a false idol sits on the throne. By forcing a red heifer to be born are we fulfilling our own prophesy?? Are we trying to force God’s hand to move and declare the completion of His work?? When people go searching for a sign they will find one by their own doing. This is my worry when it comes to the red heifer. Is it fun to talk about… Of course!! But is there a danger in trying to complete a task that will definitely end with the lives of millions??
We are searching for God in so many ways, yet we choose not the one way he asks of us everyday. That is to serve, without searching for gain.. and love, without receiving love back. To follow every word, and to be the example of Christ on Earth!
